Winter hiking is becoming very popular, check out a seminar at AMC for guidance on this exhilarating sport. Try snowshoeing into a waterfall you've visited in the summer.

Attitash Bear Peak, Black Mountain, Cranmore, Wildcat and Bretton Woods. Shawnee Peak, Sunday River, Loon and King Pine are also within reach. Tubing and night skiing are very popular at most ski areas.

Cross country skiing is very well catered for at Jackson Touring, Bartlett and Glen Trails among others - the trail systems are extensive and cater for all levels of ability. And when the skiing stops the fun goes on with an excellent choice of restaurants and "apres ski" entertainment New England Winter at its best !

Snowmobiling
There is easy access to hundreds of miles of groomed county trails leading right through the most spectacular countryside - Ride out to Canada if you fancy the long haul ! Machines can be hired locally and there are trailside restaurants and stops. The Trail Systems are well kept and sign posted, patrolled for safety and cover a huge scenic mountain area
